May 2002 Burt the Raccoon entertained at the Dennison Pequotsepos Nature Center in Mystic, Ct. on Saturday, April 20 in celebration of Earth Day. We had a wonderful time and made many new friends. (See picture and story from The Sun (New London, Ct.) Burt returned for his 5th visit for Earth Day activities to the lovely, Garden in the Woods in Framingham, Ma. on Saturday, April 29. We performed morning and afternoon shows for a good sized crowd. We always get a few "repeat costumers" from previous years at each performance. It's always nice to see those familiar faces and hear that same laugh again from last year. Later on the same day, we visited Morrill Library in Norwood, Ma. What a great time we had in that beautiful old granite building. Thanks to the Norwood Community Partnership for sponsoring that show. Saturday, May 11 was a warm and sunny day and Burt entertained at the Cystic Fibrous Walk-a-thon in Roger Williams Park in Providence, RI. Burt spent a lot of time shaking hands and pulling kids into the tree! |
